We're delighted to announce our first Guest Sommelier series. Over the coming months we’ll be hosting some of our favourite people in wine for a series of special evenings.
On these dates we'll be serving our Glebe House Dinner menu, with drinks pairings chosen by our Guest Sommelier. Alongside the pairing menus, our Guest Sommeliers will also be putting together a short list of some special things available by the bottle.

Full Line up of Events for Sommelier Series
We're very excited to announce some additional dates in our Guest Sommelier Series. These include our first winemaker visits with two of our absolute favourites joining us a Glebe: in September, Federico Orsi we be pouring his wines on a night celebrating the food & drink of Bologna; the following month we'll be fully focused on Devon, as Rob Corbett from Castlewood Vineyards takes over sommelier duties for the evening.

For the menu, we'll be paying homage to some of the classic traditons of La cucina bolognese (think homemade mortadella, silky pasta, rich ragus, etc..), the perfect pairing for the not-so traditional wines of Federico, one of the most dynamic and exciting winemakers we know, and part of a new wave of grower/makers reviving the forgotten Colli Bolognesi wine region.

English sparkling and latterly still wines of the very highest quality from Rob Corbett - from our great friends and neighbours - Castlewood Vineyards. Some of Castlewood's very special Angus beef is also scheduled to make an appearance.

Damon Little, previously Head Sommelier at Restaurant Nathan Outlaw and now at Liberty Wines, one of the big names in the UK wine industry with a particularly outstanding Italian selection.

Claire Roberts, from Christopher Piper Wines, based just down the road in Ottery St Mary, with a selection of wines focused on celebrating the festive season.
